Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

AgenticGEO ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify application that audits and optimizes merchant product catalogs for visibility in AI commerce channels including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use our app.

2. Information We Collect

When you install AgenticGEO, we access the following data from your Shopify store:

• Product data — titles, descriptions, images, variants, tags, metafields, and pricing, used solely to run catalog audits and generate the Agent Visibility Score.
• Order data — referring site and landing site of recent orders, used only to detect ChatGPT-referred traffic for the revenue attribution feature.
• Shop information — store domain and plan settings, used to associate audit results with your account.

We do not collect personal information about your customers. We do not access customer names, emails, addresses, or payment data.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To compute the Agent Visibility Score (AVS) for each product and your store overall.
• To generate AI-powered content suggestions via Claude AI (Anthropic). Product context is sent to Anthropic's API to produce suggestions — no customer data is included.
• To track score history over time so you can measure improvement.
• To detect ChatGPT-referred orders for the revenue attribution feature.

We never sell, rent, or share your store data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and environment-variable-based secret management. Audit results and score history are stored and associated with your shop domain only.

AI enrichment suggestions generated by Claude are stored as pending records and are never automatically applied to your store. You review and approve all changes before they are written back to Shopify.

5. Third-Party Services

• Shopify — we access your store via the Shopify Admin API under your authorized scopes (read_products, write_products, read_orders).
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — product titles and descriptions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate enrichment suggestions. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy.
• Railway — our hosting provider. Railway's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

When you uninstall AgenticGEO, we receive a Shopify webhook and permanently delete all data associated with your shop — including products, audit results, score history, and enrichment records — within 48 hours.

7. GDPR and Merchant Compliance

AgenticGEO supports the Shopify mandatory GDPR webhooks:

• customers/data_request — we respond confirming we hold no customer personal data.
• customers/redact — we hold no customer data; no action required on our end.
• shop/redact — all shop data is deleted upon receiving this webhook.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at https://agentic-seo-production.up.railway.app/privacy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
